Join us for fun and adventure these school holidays, and learn some new skills too!

Homegrown Organics supplies Mid North Coast families with year-round fresh organic produce from our market garden. We also love helping families experience the delights and realities of nature and country life.

It’s no secret that kids are physically and mentally healthier when they spend time doing stuff in nature. It helps them to think independently, act responsibly, and choose an active and adventurous lifestyle that builds character and resilience. Our on-farm experiences are packed with fun activities that build new skills as we do meaningful things.

We have four unique, nature-based farm workshops on offer for children and families. They are suitable for different ages, and there are options for parents to leave children or to stay and participate. Discounts are available for purchases of more than one workshop. See details below.

Discounts available when you book multiple workshops!

This experience is designed for families who want an authentic camping experience. Parents camp with the kids.

There is nothing like camping under the stars in the Aussie bush! The peacefulness, the smell of eucalyptus burning, the soft night noises, the fresh air, the sense of freedom, ahhh…

Join us for a fun evening of cooking over the fire, having a yarn or singsong, watching the bushman’s TV, then rolling out the swag for a good night’s sleep. The Kids under the Stars experience is for the whole family to relax and enjoy the great outdoors!

The campsite is in the grove next to our garden, and so you don’t need to completely ‘rough it’, toilets and a hot shower are nearby. If you’ve never camped before, this authentic and safe camping experience might be the first of many as you learn to love the camaraderie, peace, freedom, and sitting around a campfire!

Experience Details

The Kids under the Stars workshop includes:

  • dinner cooked over the fire (damper/jaffles etc.)
  • making a special ‘improved design’ toasting fork in our workshop for your family to take camping
  • bush yarns, songs and maybe poetry around the fire
  • basic navigation by the stars, and star app intro (if skies are clear)
  • night critter hunting
  • playing SPOTLIGHT!
